Lions rd between Rathdowney(Qld) and Kyogle(NSW) Andrew Drynan Park is 47km from Beaudesert and 19km from Rathdowney. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. The park is divided by Lions Road ,
which leads to Summerland Way thru Kyogle
Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great camping ground
On the Lions Road, south of Beaudesert, on Running Creek.
Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming.
BYO drinking water. Pets to be. supervised..No showers --
We are on the Lions Road just before it crosses the border from Queensland into NSW .To find us just look for Beaudesert, then head towards Rathdowney for
24kms and onto the Lions Road and go another 22kms.
You cross Running Creek seven times.
The drive is an adventure in itself.
It starts off in a wide valley with lots of horse studs,
and around each corner is a fantastic view
Running Creek is lovely with a backdrop of
sub tropical rainforest.
There are lots of campsites with plenty of room to spread out The Ranger visits morning and evening if you require firewood just let him know
fees are $5 pp children $2 or 15 per family
there are toilets and the creek provides a lovley refresh.
please no soaps in the creek.
lots to do bush walking, tube riding in the creek,
lots of room for cricket
or just sit and relax with a good book
don't forget to order your firewood when you get in.
